The Missouri State University Department of Art and Design is very pleased to participate in this Design collaboration with our European counterparts and to continue to foster our relationships with allied academies. The conditions under which designers operate in 2026 are in a constant and rapid state of change, and to draw inspiration from ecological processes – so fundamental to our existence – brings much needed hope to the project of imagining a collective future for our global society. The works brought together in this exhibition represent a collective response, an international vision, and an embrace of diverse perspectives on a shared theme that demonstrates the promise of design initiatives to help find meaning in a time of uncertainty and instability.
