At the Institute of Creative Industries at the University of Sopron, our mission is to foster synergy across disciplines and integrate international educational trends. Our goal is to impart comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge that opens a direct path for our graduates to the forefront of the creative industries.
In our Graphic Design program, we strive for a balance between artistic self-expression and technical precision: we help students develop their creativity and solidify their individual design approach. Throughout the undergraduate program, in addition to classic disciplines—such as typography, packaging, illustration, brand identity and advertising campaigns—we place special emphasis on the confident use of new technologies, whether it be web design, 3D modeling or motion design. Special emphasis is placed on the ethical and practical application of artificial intelligence, preparing our students for the current challenges of the profession.
In 2026, we will move into a new building, whose spaces will be designed to meet the needs of interdisciplinary collaboration and intensive workshop work. In response to the university’s slogan, “Naturally with you!”, we engage with green values, nature conservation, and environmentally conscious design through numerous projects—and all of this can now take place in the inspiring, green surroundings of the Botanical Garden. Our new base, which combines a newly built house with an old building, faithfully reflects our philosophy: the meeting of solid foundations and a progressive mindset.
